Scrum Day Presenter and Topics
Todd has been a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Developer on a variety of technical and creative projects across a multitude of industries. He presently coaches and trains enterprises and teams across the United States on the Scrum framework, enterprise Agile transformation, and professional software development. On the technical side, he has development experience in the Microsoft .NET technology stack, Team Foundation Server, and Visual Studio Team Services. Outside of work, Todd is an avid CrossFitter and holds his CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification which he uses to train people at a local gym. Todd is a PST for Scrum.org and is VP of the Agile Innovation Practice at Itero Group, LLC. Todd co-authored Fixing Your Scrum: Practical Solutions to Common Scrum Problems with Ryan Ripley.

A Terrible, No Good, Very Great Meeting
Do you ever attend meetings or events where participation is left to only half the people in the room, while the others sit quietly, waiting for it to be over? Organizational habits across the globe have unintentionally implemented tactics that exclude people and are anti-collaborative. Explore the use of Liberating Structures as an answer to this problem. Learn ways to facilitate events so that the outcome involves every mind in the room. Come prepared to participate in this interactive session to learn ways of getting everyone engaged.

Fixing Broken Scrum Practices
Explore common anti-patterns teams experience with Scrum in the workplace. Examples include role confusion, lack of team focus, delivery lag, clipped wings by management, or reverting to old ways. First, let’s acknowledge the challenges, and then discuss ways to resolve them and deliver value.
Scrum Day Overview
Scrum Day is coming to Greater Philadelphia. Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Agile practitioners are all invited to learn from and engage with certified Scrum experts as they lead a full day of focused discussions on a variety of Scrum topics. The keynote speech will explore the “Future of Work,” and supporting breakout sessions will tackle topics like Evidence-Based Management, Scrum with UX, Fixing Scrum, Scrum with Kanban, Agile Metrics, Effective Backlog Refinement, the Psychology of Influence, and more.
Scrum Day, organized by Springhouse and hosted at The Desmond in Malvern, PA , is a one-day conference for 100 Scrum practitioners in the Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs to learn more about the future of work from Scrum.org leaders and experienced Scrum and Agile experts.
