Session 2 Topic
The Secret to Effective Backlog Refinement
Phrases, such as “split the user stories,” “use the three amigos,” and “refine when necessary,” are often used to describe ways of doing Backlog Refinement. How can you be confident that you are refining most productively? Behavior Driven Development (BDD) is an effective and concrete method of refining the backlog. More than just a way to write automated tests, BDD is a collaboration technique. Discover how BDD can uncover story details through structured examples. Learn how it can be used effectively to refine user stories well before they are sprint planned.
Session 4 Topic

Self-directed Agile teams often don’t have hierarchical management. You can’t – and shouldn’t – pressure teams via command and control, making it devilishly difficult to exert any type of influence. Learn about the psychological tools that can influence team members who don’t report to you. Using examples, exercises, and practices of selling Agile concepts, you will learn to apply Dr. Robert Cialdini’s six psychological tools of influence to craft persuasive positions.
