Description

Well-written White Papers and Articles—used for website postings, for formal oral presentations, and for client take-aways after teleconferences/meetings and at conference exhibits—can advance a Company’s reputation and increase interest in services. Most organizations have people with lots of good information and good intentions to publish articles but never the time to write them. Through examples and exercises, this workshop presents techniques for efficiently and effectively writing White Papers and Articles for publication.


Course Outline

Participants explore how to:

  • Select topics and keep an idea file.
  • Define an “angle” and use common White Paper formulas.
  • Streamline organization and writing; reduce rewriting.
  • Write for readers with varying expertise and needs; sell without “selling.”
  • Use headings and illustrations to complement and clarify the text.
  • Ensure clear, precise wording; emphasize important information and increase readability.

Participants are invited to send samples of their on-the-job writing for confidential feedback.
