Microsoft Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications (MCTS)

The Technology Specialist certifications let professionals target specific technologies and distinguish themselves by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and expertise in their subject area technologies.

Developers holding the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications (MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications) certification have demonstrated breadth and depth of skills and knowledge of Web application technology and data access in Web applications.

Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD)

The Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) credential provides industry recognition for professional developers who build powerful applications using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and Web services on the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. This certification allows developers to demonstrate they have the skills necessary to successfully implement functional specifications as well as build, deploy, and maintain Windows and Web applications.

To achieve the MCAD credential, candidates are required to pass a total of 3 exams, including 2 core and 1 elective. The table below illustrates the Springhouse recommended program to complete this certification. Students may select individual courses in the MCAD program that compliment their previous experience, budget or career goals or join the full certification program.
