Our History
When Springhouse opened it doors in 1989 as Springhouse Computer
School in the Marsh Creek Corporate Center in Exton,
PA with a female at its helm, it may have appeared as a proverbial
one-room school house, but the founders envisioned much more. The
clear objective was to build a unique organization dedicated to
delivering the finest computer training and consulting services
in an emerging industry.
In retrospect, our grand opening was a rather humble event. With 2 full-time employees, a single classroom of ten computers and an open enrollment schedule offering WordPerfect 5.1, Lotus, Dos and PC Basics, there was no way to imagine the growth that was in store. With the most incredible enthusiasm to grab hold of any technology that arrived in the marketplace, we developed training classes with a dedication to doing it right. We built it and they came.
As we continued to grow, we added classrooms and administrative space until we became the second largest tenant in the Marsh Creek complex boasting a 7 classroom facility. Our offerings became more elaborate as our client database expanded to include corporate giants such as Vanguard, Sanofi, Synthes, Wyeth and more. This progress created a need for a second location which was opened in January 2000 in the Trinity Corporate Center in Malvern, PA adding 4 more classrooms and higher quality PCs, giving us the ability to add technical training to our desktop offerings. Shortly after the Malvern location opened, Springhouse became a Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center which put us on the national and international maps. We continued to add wonderfully talented and experienced staff members who maintain the commitment to excellence which is our foundation. In 2003, the quality of our services took another leap as we added consulting to our repertoire and changed our name to Springhouse Education & Consulting Services. Growing out of our Marsh Creek facility, we moved to our current location in the Eagleview Corporate Center in April 2003 where a more sophisticated corporate setting was created. Our numbers have increased to over 35 full-time, part-time and contracting employees and we offer over 250 courses. In addition, we have purchased two mobile labs of 15 notebooks each affording the ability to train at a client’s site.
Springhouse has been recognized nationally as the US Microsoft Partner of the Year for Technical Innovations for Learning Solutions in 2005 & 2006 (view) and as the PMI Professional Development Provider of the Year in 2005 (view).
